For my Self Portrait I didn’t want to do a video diary or talk about me and my life as that always tends to be slightly depressing and definitely self-indulgent soinstead I went out one evening to record people’s confessions anonymously! Which went pretty well, I lent people my sunglasses so they could remain anonymous and they sat in front of my camera and proceeded told me whatever they wanted to tell me and then they disappeared back into Fez (no I was not out clubbing in Fez!) and yes I did lose my sunglasses… 😦
During/after filming I was out catching up with some friends and so there was also some footage of us messing around and what not which I thought would be good to include in the Vlog – since I have to make it 2 to 3 minuets long. So I’ve made an illustration of my night with the confessions and photos/videos in my evening with friends and people sharing their deepest darkest secrets. I feel that this gives a good reflection of me my working environment (since I work in a cocktail bar in Cambridge town) along with other people socialising/being exploited, or however you choose to view it.
To make the video more relevant to me and my life as the brief requests I start by introducing myself and list a few things I like to do or am currently doing with my life!
So here is the finished project!
